Job Overview
We are seeking Controls Engineers and Senior Controls Engineers to fill positions in the St. Louis area. These individuals will design, program, and provide start-up support for PLC and SCADA systems for industrial clients. We offer a wide variety of projects and challenges.
Qualified candidates must possess the following skills:
The qualified Controls Engineer must be well versed in control systems. He/She must be capable of taking a project from start to finish. This would include meeting the customer to understand what the need is, designing, building, commissioning and handing off the finished system. This person must be proficient in the PLC and HMI programming. Relational database experienced and computer programming experience is a plus. This person must also possess good oral and written communication skills.
Organizational Relationship:
The Project Engineer reports directly to the Engineer Manager
Job Skills Required:
Applicable Degree or five years project engineering and/or project management experience on control system integration projects. Experiences should include PLC's, PC's, HMI, SCADA software, device communication protocols and networking. Proficiency in at least one programming language required.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Design and program sophisticated control systems.
2. Simulate, test, and debug control systems in-house.
3. Install and startup systems at the end-users facility.
4. Provide continuing system technical support over the phone or on-site.
